  • Platform — **Email can now be carried by Resend as well as Amazon SES.** Both providers sign both of our sending domains, both feed the same bounce and complaint tracking, and one is live per deploy. The per-workspace suppression check, the daily send caps, the unsubscribe headers and the "did she get it?" delivery status all sit above the switch, so they behave identically whichever provider carries the message. The reason: AWS declined production access for SES a second time, and while the account stays in its sandbox no customer of a customer can receive email from it.
  • Platform — Delivery failures now say which provider refused the message and why in plain words, including a spent daily quota and a brief provider outage, instead of an error code.
  • Platform — The staff console's email page reports which provider it tested, and its suppression tool reads and clears the live provider's list - saying plainly that removal is global across every workspace.
  • Platform — **Sign in with a code, no password.** Enter your email, type the six-digit code we send, and you are in. New accounts are created the same way, with nothing to remember. The code arrives from hello@makerbay.app in the same style as every other MakerBay email, and it never contains a link - a code email with a button is what a forged one looks like, so ours never has one. Anyone who already has a MakerBay password can still use it: the sign-in page offers "sign in with it" and takes you to the familiar password screen and back. Sessions last seven days.
  • Platform — **Your sign-in now lives in a cookie your browser keeps to itself.** Sign-in moved onto the dashboard's own address, so the session is held in an HttpOnly cookie that no script on the page can read, and the short-lived token the API checks is kept in memory only. Nothing changes in how you sign in; a script that found its way onto the page would simply have nothing to steal.
  • Platform — The hourly check that sign-in codes can be delivered now watches the delivery receipt come back through our own mail log, rather than asking the provider's log, so it needs no extra access to prove the pipeline works.
  • Platform — **Sign in with your fingerprint or face.** After you sign in with a code on a phone or laptop that has a fingerprint, face or PIN built in, MakerBay offers to remember that device. Say yes and next time there is no code to wait for: the device checks it is you and you are in. Your emailed code keeps working everywhere else. Every device you add or remove is listed under Your account, and you get an email each time one changes, so a device you do not recognise is spotted and removed in a minute.
  • Platform — The privacy policy, the security page and the Data Processing Agreement now say how sign-in actually works (codes and passkeys, no passwords) and list Resend as the company that delivers our email. Both legal documents move to version 1.1.
  • Platform — The page you see when signing in with a MakerBay password now looks like MakerBay: our logo, colours and buttons, instead of the plain grey form it showed before. The password itself is unchanged.
  • Missed-call rescue — The Missed-call rescue page said nothing is ever recorded. A voicemail the caller leaves is recorded and written out, and kept for the periods the Data Processing Agreement states. The page now says so.
  • Bookings — The Bookings page still said deposits were "not yet"; they have been live since 2.24.0. The answer now describes how a deposit secures the slot.
  • Quotes — The Quotes page still said a customer could not pay a deposit on acceptance; they have been able to since 2.4.0.
  • Your page — The Page module's answers still said payment was not built and named a plan that no longer exists. Payments are live and the plan is Trade.
  • Platform — help.makerbay.app itself now explains what the help centres are and where to find a business's one, instead of a 404.
  • Platform — The password sign-in page no longer offers to create an account. New accounts come through the code sign-in only.

  • Platform — **Signing up worked again.** Moving login codes onto our own mail provider on 27 August had a side effect nobody spotted: while that provider is still in its approval sandbox it only delivers to addresses already verified with it, and a person signing up never is. Every new account since the 27th silently never received its code. Codes now come from a sender with no such limit.
  • Platform — **Deleting a contact now deletes the person.** It used to remove the contact row and leave their quotes, bookings, enquiries, reviews and entire history in place - so an owner who believed they had erased somebody had not. It now removes all of it and tells you plainly what it kept and why: invoices and payments stay, because tax law requires seven years.
  • Platform — **Nothing on your public pages calls a third party.** The fonts on your booking page and help centre were loaded from Google, which meant every customer who opened your page told Google they had. They now come from our own servers. A test fails the build if any public page ever reaches out to an outside host again.
  • Platform — **Pay-as-you-go is opt-in, as the pricing page always said.** Paid workspaces were being billed for messages past their allowance automatically. There is now a switch on your billing screen, it is off by default, and with it off we stop at your allowance and tell you.
  • Platform — Terms of Service and a Privacy Policy, at [/terms](https://makerbay.app/terms) and [/privacy](https://makerbay.app/privacy).
  • Quotes — Quotes no longer carry a default "valid for 30 days" line that could contradict their own expiry date once you changed it.
  • Reviews — If a review invite can't be emailed, you now get the link so you can send it yourself, instead of just being told it failed.
  • Bookings — Deposits show in your own currency in the confirmation email. They were hardcoded to Australian dollars.
  • Platform — Application logs are now kept 12 months and then deleted, which is what the privacy policy says.

No-shows now cost the no-show, not you. Refunds stay at your discretion from the Payments screen.
  • Platform — A Home screen: six real setup steps (service, hours, knowledge, page, prices, review link) with progress and one Next action - the landing page until you finish or hide it, and always under the account menu as "Getting started".
  • AI Assistant — Write help articles right in the Help centre tab - title, category, and the article itself (headings, steps, tips supported). Published instantly, editable any time, and the assistant learns every article automatically. Knowledge marks them "help article".
  • Your page — Genie drafts your page's words: headline and intro from the Words card, FAQ answers from the FAQ editor - built only from your real services, reviews and documents, shown on the live preview as unsaved changes, and never published until you save. Each draft uses one Genie message.
  • Quotes — The pipeline now tells the truth: creating an invoice stamps the quote (a second click shows the invoice instead of minting a duplicate) and invoiced quotes leave the "accepted, to invoice" number. Requests gained "Quote this job" (customer details prefilled), quotes gained Duplicate and an existing-customer picker, and sent quotes show "expires in Nd" chips, an Expired tab and an "email failed" flag.

The invoice marks itself paid when the money lands; the webhook is the source of truth, never the button press. Full refunds from the dashboard.
  • AI Assistant — The assistant now knows what your workspace knows: services, prices, opening hours, service areas and contact details answer correctly before you upload a single document, and it points customers at the real Book a time button. The default greeting no longer talks about "docs".

  • Reviews — Reviews is live: after a completed booking the customer gets one polite ask, leaves stars and words on a page in your name, and the published reviews appear on your MakerBay page. You can hide a review or bring it back - never edit it. Every respondent is offered your Google review link, whatever they scored: gating reviews breaks Google's rules and we will not build it.
  • Bookings — Reminders that stop no-shows: a reminder email the day before (or two hours before, for same-day bookings) with the same cancel link. Cancelled bookings never get one - the reminder re-checks the diary before it sends.
  • Quotes — Quote revisions: a revision is a fresh quote with a new number, and what the customer already accepted, declined or let lapse stays exactly as it was. A replaced quote's page points forward to the current one.
  • Quotes — Simple invoices: one click turns an accepted quote into a numbered invoice - same agreed lines, a due date, your payment details and a printable page in a choice of three themes. Mark it paid when the money lands; a paid invoice never changes. Bookkeeping and tax accounting stay in your accounting software, as promised.
  • Your page — Presence Pro custom domains: connect a domain you own, add two DNS records, and your page serves at yourbusiness.com.au with its own certificate. The free makerbay.app page stays either way.
  • Your page — Published reviews now appear on your page - the words your customers actually wrote.
  • Platform — Modules now talk to each other through events: a completed booking raises one event, and whichever review surface you run - Reviews, or the Get found Google-link ask - answers it. One ask per completion, never both.

  • Get found — Get found is live and free: a guided checklist that gets your Google Business Profile right in about twenty minutes, and review requests sent at the moment a customer is most likely to say yes - one email, once, right after the job is done. Ask from a contact's page, or let a completed booking ask automatically.
  • Missed-call rescue — Missed-call rescue is built and proven: an unanswered call forwards to your rescue number, the caller hears a greeting in your name and gets a text with your booking link while they listen, and their voicemail is written out with the job, address and urgency pulled into your Requests inbox. A booking that follows is tracked back to the rescued call - the conversion number this whole category never publishes.
  • Missed-call rescue — Deliberately not a talking robot. Every conversational AI receptionist measured on real calls answers over a second late and roughly a third of callers say they would hang up on one; the transcript-and-text-back design does the job with none of that risk.
  • Requests — Missed calls appear in the inbox alongside handoffs, leads and feedback, with the same reply tools.

  • Your page — The page is honest with search engines. It stays hidden until it has an intro, a photo and a priced service, and if you have your own website it links there and stays out of results entirely - we never compete with you for your own name.
  • Bookings — Customers can now actually book. The public booking page walks service, day, time and details, refuses a slot taken a second earlier, and the confirmation email carries a private cancel link that frees the slot.
  • Quotes — The quote link customers receive now opens a real page: every line and total, accept or decline with one tap, and a clear state once it is settled or expired.
  • Bookings — Switching the Bookings module on had never worked - the module catalogue predated it. Enabling it now grants a free tier of 20 bookings a month.
  • Your page — A photo upload that failed part-way no longer leaves the page pointing at a missing image; the photo is verified in storage before it counts.

  • Bookings — A customer who cannot make it cancels from a private link in their confirmation email, which frees the slot instead of a no-show.
  • Quotes — Quotes is live. Price a job from a saved price list, send a link, and the customer accepts on their phone. An accepted quote is fixed: changing one means writing a new one.
  • Platform — Unit tests. Slot computation, money arithmetic, CSV parsing and contact matching are covered - 56 tests, no AWS needed to run them.
  • Platform — First sign-in to the staff console. A new account is issued a temporary password and Cognito refuses to authenticate until it is replaced; the console had no screen for that, so a new account could never get in.
